Les started his career at Citibank as their first Cooperative Education Student while pursuing a BS in Computer Science at Pratt Institute, and spent 27 years in a variety of technology and management positions including CEO, President, and Director positions in 3 subsidiaries and the lead technologist and business manager of Citibank’s Development Division’s Group Systems Office. In the course of his tenure Les completed his MBA in taxation at NYU, was recognized as co-developer on two US patents, and managed professional staffs of over 450 with budgets exceeding $73 million.
His insurance career started ten years ago with New York Life where he earned a CLTC designation denoting Certification in Long Term Care solutions. Joining The Villages Insurance after moving to The Villages, Les went on to earn the RICP designation from The American College, denoting him as a Retirement Income Certified Professional, a specialty focused on helping retirees maintain their retirement income and legacy goals protected from the risks of inflation, market corrections, and long term custodial care costs.
Throughout his career Les has always been able to bridge the gap between the technical and lay, and enjoys mentoring and educating. Believing that an understanding of how things work is important, he patiently works with his clientele, equally comfortable communicating at an overview level or getting into the weeds.
